CIAC Division 2 State High School Ice Hockey Championship – St. Joseph vs. Amity

NEW HAVEN- Amity used a 5-goal third period to top St. Joseph and take the Division II Ice Hockey State Championship, 7-5, at Ingalls Rink in New Haven.

The Spartans were led by joe Bianchi and Marcel Shteirman, who scored 2 goals each in the pivotal third period.

Amity erased an early deficit in the game, as the Cadets scored the games first three goals to take an early3-nothing lead.

For Amity, the win marks the second state championship in ice hockey in state history.
