2010 CIAC Class S Girl’s State High School Basketball Championship – Portland vs. St. Paul Catholic

UNCASVILLE- Courtney Lobo hit a fadeaway jumper with 18 seconds left, and the Saint Paul Catholic Falcons held on to beat Portland in the closest game on championship weekend, 39-37. 

Portland had a chance to tie the game up at the buzzer, but a final desperation shot was no good.

Lobo finished the game with 6 points.  Amber Litwinko led Portland with 14 points and 9 rebounds

For the Falcons, the victory marked their first state championship win since the 2001 season.
