Beyond The Beat - Sports Talk!

A new edition of Beyond The Beat, our sports talk show, premiered May 21 and will be shown several times in upcoming days, along with previous versions of the show (check broadcast schedule). 

Host Joe Zone of WFSB-TV is joined by panelists Jeff Jacobs of the Hartford Courant and Mike DiMauro of The New London Day. In our May 14 edition, special guest Mike Cavanaugh, the newly named coach of the UConn men's hockey team, which makes its debut in the prestigious Hockey East conference next season (Cavanaugh is at left in the photo).

Joe, Jeff and Mke wll and will discuss the issues of the day in sports in Connecticut, the region and the country. For show topics and discussion, check our Facebook and Twitter pages.

The YouTube video below is the special April 8 hour-long edition, taped in New Orleans before the UConn women won their eighth NCAA basketball title. UConn athletic director Warde Manuel was among the many special guests .
