CIAC A Key CPTV Sports Partner

The Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC), the governing body of high school sports in Connecticut, is a key CPTV Sports partner. The channel shows a wide variety of boys and girls high school sports and competitions from all over the state in the fall, winter and spring, including regular season and postseason events.

DVDs of CIAC championship games from previous years are available for purchase at our online store.

The CIAC and Connecticut Public Broadcasting had a longstanding relationship before November 2011, when CPTV Sports was launched as the successor to the Connecticut Sports Network (CTSN).

In 2009, when CTSN was lauched, former CAS-CIAC executive director Michael Savage said  his organization was "proud to partner" with CPTV.  "There are so many extremely talented teams and individual players representing well over 100,000 high school athletes who will now have a a regular opportunity to showcase their talents," Savage said.

On January 1, 2011, longtime coach and Connecticut educator Dr. Karissa Niehoff succeeded Savage as CAS-CIAC executive director. She is only the third person to hold the job since 1969.
