Central Connecticut State A CPTV Sports Partner

CPTV Sports partnered with Central Connecticut State University to show seven home men's and women's basketball games in January and February of 2012.

The games were televised live on CPTV Sports, previously  the Connecticut Sports Network, and available to subscribers of both Cox and Comcast cable throughout Connecticut.

"We are excited to partner with CPTV Sports to televise a number of our men's and women's basketball games in the new year," Central athletic director Paul Schlickmann said.  "With our vast alumni network in the state as well as the extensive business and community relationships we have developed in the Central Connecticut region, CPTV Sports will provide us the opportunity to extend and enhance our reach to our fans.  This is an excellent medium to showcase our institution and the talents of our student-athletes.  Central Connecticut's relationship with CPTV Sports is just beginning, but we hope this initial package develops into a long term, mutually beneficial partnership for years to come."

Four men's games and three women's games were televised, including doubleheaders on January 28 and February 25.  The four men's games brought the total television appearances for the Blue Devils during the 2011-12 season to nine.

CPTV Sports is Connecticut's only 24-hour local sports network, covering statewide high school sports, college matchups, professional sports  and more. Launched on November 1, 2011, CPTV Sports is available on Comcast cable channels 185, 187 and 744 and on the Cox Communications cable system channel 144.
